MAD Lions Secures Spot in LEC Summer Finals with 3-0 Sweep of Rogue
MAD Lions has secured their spot in the LEC Summer split finals after a dominant 3-0 series against Rogue. In an interview with , the team’s AD carry, Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság, shared his thoughts on their back-to-back finals appearance and even interviewed his own mid laner.
A Hard-Fought Victory
The Lions’ victory did not come easily, especially in the last game where they found themselves with a 10,000 gold deficit. However, MAD Lions turned the situation around, mirroring their performance in the Spring finals.
“I feel like we have the best understanding of the game in Europe right now, so we always have a chance to win, no matter how far behind we are, as long as our team composition makes sense,” said Carzzy in the interview. “There is always something to play for.”
Overcoming Obstacles
MAD Lions faced several challenges on their journey to the finals this split. They had to deal with post-MSI burnout, which led to some losses in the regular season, and a COVID outbreak that forced them to play from home for a few weeks. However, Carzzy believes that his team performs exceptionally well in best-of-five series due to their ability to adapt quickly.
A Humorous Interview Session
After the interview, Carzzy took on the role of the interviewer and had a lighthearted chat with his teammate, mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda. The Czech players bantered about the series, other playoff teams, and even their own teammates. “I’m excited to play against TSM… wait, are they going to Worlds?” sarcastically joked Humanoid during the mock interview.
