T1 Gumayusi’s Underwhelming Stats as an ADC at MSI 2022

Gumayusi Underperforms at League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational

The highly anticipated match-up between Korea’s Spring Split champions T1 and the world’s best teams at the 2022 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) didn’t go as expected for T1’s bottom lane duo, Gumayusi and Keria.

Gumayusi had disappointing stats throughout the tournament, with the lowest kill participation and total damage share among AD carries who played more than 10 games, according to Oracle’s Elixir. He also had the second-lowest average damage to champions per minute and the lowest average experience difference at 10 minutes among marksmen with double-digit games.

It was surprising to see Gumayusi struggle, especially considering his consistent performance during the 2022 Spring Split, where he had a higher share of his team’s total kills and higher damage numbers during the playoffs.

A Learning Experience for Gumayusi

Gumayusi’s performance at MSI was unexpected, especially after his strong showing in the Spring Split playoffs. However, it was his first appearance at the tournament, and he is still young and learning. Despite the disappointment, Gumayusi and T1 will seek redemption in the upcoming 2022 LCK Summer Split.

Looking Ahead to the 2022 LCK Summer Split

After their loss to Royal Never Give Up in the MSI finals, Gumayusi and T1 will regroup and aim for vengeance in the 2022 LCK Summer Split, starting next month. Fans can look forward to seeing them in action once again as they strive to reclaim their dominance.
