Gen.G’s Mid Laner Bdd Contributes $4,000 to Coronavirus Relief Efforts

The Best Mid Laner in LCK, Bdd, Donates to Fight Coronavirus

Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong, widely considered the top mid laner in the LCK, has made a generous donation of 5 million KWR (approximately $4,126 USD) to support efforts in battling the coronavirus.

A Selfless Act of Kindness

Bdd took to Twitter to share a photo of the receipt for his donation, stating that he wanted to make a meaningful contribution for his upcoming birthday and the 4th anniversary of his debut. He expressed his desire to help those working tirelessly to contain the virus.

Support from Gen.G

The news of Bdd’s donation caught the attention of Arnold Hur, the chief operating officer of Gen.G. He responded to Bdd’s tweet, pledging that the organization will match his donation, contributing 100 percent to the cause.

A Global Crisis

The coronavirus epidemic, although originating in China, has rapidly spread across the globe. South Korea has reported 1,766 confirmed cases, with 25,568 individuals undergoing examination and 13 deaths. In addition to the LCK, other leagues like the LPL have also been affected, resulting in suspended events and canceled matches in esports titles such as Overwatch.
