Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran leaves Top Esports to join Ultra Prime

In a recent announcement, Top Esports confirmed that Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran has officially left the organization. After joining the LPL squad in December 2021, he decided to part ways after half a year.

Fortunately, Zoom has already found a new team for the upcoming split. He has signed with Ultra Prime, one of the LPL rivals. The team finished 12th in the 2022 LPL Spring Split.

New Home for Zoom

Zoom’s move to Ultra Prime was confirmed through a friendly negotiation process. Both Top Esports and Ultra Prime agreed on the transfer, and Zoom will now be a part of Ultra Prime. We wish him the best of luck in his new journey!

Zoom’s Journey

In 2020, Zoom gained recognition when he won the 2020 LPL Spring Split with JD Gaming. Although his team couldn’t defend the title later that year and lost to Top Esports in the Summer finals, they made it to the quarterfinals of Worlds 2020. Unfortunately, they were defeated by another LPL representative, Suning.

In 2021, JDG didn’t perform as expected, leading to a roster overhaul at the end of the season. Zoom then made the move to Top Esports. However, despite his experience, he was overshadowed by TES’ Wayward, a 20-year-old top laner who won the Rookie of the Split award. In the Spring Playoffs, Zoom didn’t get a chance to start in any of the 25 matches.

About Ultra Prime

Ultra Prime, previously known as eStar, has been a mediocre team in the competition. They have only made it to the playoffs once in the 2020 Spring Split and have consistently finished outside the top 10 since then.

Please stay tuned for updates on the 2022 LPL Summer Split. Due to the city-wide lockdown in Shanghai because of COVID-19, the Spring Split matches had to be played online.
