Riot Employee Expresses Casual Attitude Towards Tyler1’s Fate without Inappropriate Remarks

Riot Employee Faces Backlash for Controversial Comments about Tyler1

A Riot employee caused outrage after making offensive remarks about popular League of Legends streamer Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp. The employee stated that he wouldn’t mind if Tyler1 died from a drug overdose or testicular cancer due to steroid use.

The comments were made by Rutledge, a Riot employee, in the League of Legends subreddit’s Discord channel. About a year ago, Riot banned Tyler1, who was known for his toxic behavior in the North American gaming community.

Rutledge’s Discord conversation was uploaded to Reddit earlier today. Initially, he tried to defend himself, but later apologized for his comments.

Surprisingly, Tyler1 responded calmly instead of retaliating with insults.

After the incident gained attention on Reddit, Riot employees intervened to address the situation and apologize to Tyler1 and the community. They acknowledged that the comments made were unacceptable and assured that appropriate action would be taken internally.
