League of Legends player dominates the enemy team in a 1-vs-5 using Ornn

The Return of the Tank Meta in League of Legends

Get ready, because the tank meta is back in full force.

A League of Legends player recently showcased the power of Ornn, the tanky top laner, by successfully taking on the entire enemy team in a one-vs-five battle. The player shared the incredible highlight on Reddit, where it gained attention from the community.

In the clip, the Ornn player exhibited incredible durability, easily wiping out his opponents with the help of the revamped Sunfire Cape. With their teammates defeated, most players would have waited for their respawn, but this player decided to teleport into the enemy team head-on.

Using Ornn’s ultimate ability, Call of the Forge God, the player managed to knock up three enemies and swiftly eliminate two low-health targets. With the Infernal Drake providing some assistance, the player then hunted down and finished off the enemy Jinx.

Only an Aatrox and Orianna remained, both without any mana. Despite being at a disadvantage and his health dropping below 50, the player overcame the odds and secured the unofficial pentakill. It was a thrilling display of skill and resilience.

Ornn’s Strength in the Current Patch

This extraordinary feat by Ornn shouldn’t come as a complete surprise. The recent Patch 10.4 introduced changes to Bami’s Cinder, allowing it to deal bonus damage in a fire nova whenever an immobilizing ability is used. This change has greatly benefited Ornn and other tanky top laners with crowd control abilities.

According to Champion.gg, Ornn currently maintains a 53% win rate in Platinum and above ranks. With his dominating performance in the top lane, it’s highly likely that Riot Games will address Ornn’s power in a future patch through nerfs or adjustments.
