Riot Games unveils a fresh game mode in League of Legends: Introduction of Teamfight Tactics

Riot Games Introduces Teamfight Tactics Game Mode

Riot Games is joining the autobattler trend with their new game mode called Teamfight Tactics. This mode, playable in League of Legends, features eight players competing in a free-for-all battle until only one remains. Players must strategically choose champions, upgrade them with items, and create winning battle formations to secure victory.

Similarities to Dota Auto Chess

Those familiar with Dota 2’s Dota Auto Chess variant will find themselves at home with Teamfight Tactics. According to Riot communications lead Ryan “Cactopus” Rigney, Dota Auto Chess had a major influence on the development of the new game mode.

Exciting Features and Customization

In an effort to cater to players and fans, Riot Games has committed to regularly updating the game every two weeks, creating seasonal events, and introducing new game modes. Teamfight Tactics brings the signature art, style, and deep gameplay of League of Legends into the autobattler genre, providing an exciting new experience for fans.

Players will also have the opportunity to purchase avatars called Little Legends that represent them in Teamfight Tactics. These avatars can be obtained for free after a few games, and additional ones can be purchased in the store for 750 RP. Different cosmetics and variations of Little Legends can also be acquired through Rare Little Legends eggs, which cost 490 RP and contain special variants of the avatars.

Ranked System and Release Date

Riot Games plans to implement a ranked system for Teamfight Tactics in Patch 9.14, ensuring that bugs are fixed and the game’s balance is optimized. Fans will have the chance to try out the game mode on Tuesday, June 25, using their existing League of Legends account through the client.

Experience the thrill of Teamfight Tactics and showcase your strategic prowess in this exciting new game mode from Riot Games.
