Cloud9 dominates LCS in Baron, dragon, Rift Herald, and jungle control rates.

Cloud9 Dominating LCS with Impressive Objective Control

In the midst of the 2020 LCS Spring Split, Cloud9 has established itself as the top team in North America. Their exceptional performance can be attributed to their strong objective control, which has played a crucial role in their success this season.

Cloud9 has shown remarkable control in various aspects of the game. They have achieved a 100 percent control rate on first dragons, Elder Dragon control, and Baron Nashor. Additionally, they have an 83 percent acquisition rate for Rift Herald, a 92 percent control rate for elemental dragons, and a 58.1 percent jungle control rate. These statistics put them leagues ahead of their competitors according to Oracle’s Elixir.

Unprecedented Objective Control

Objective control at this level is rarely seen in the LCS. Cloud9 has truly elevated their macro play and decision-making with their new roster. Their matches have been largely one-sided, thanks to their ability to dominate not only objectives but also the overall map control. This is evident from their 89 percent first tower rate and 100 percent first-to-three towers rate.

Cloud9 also boasts the strongest early game among all LCS teams, with a staggering 2,628 gold difference at 15 minutes. To put this in perspective, TSM holds the second-highest gold difference at 15 minutes with only 986—a significant margin of 1,642 gold difference. Each player on Cloud9 is performing at their peak capacity, resulting in exceptional team play.

Blaber Shining Bright

One standout player on Cloud9 is jungler Robert “Blaber” Huang. Despite being in his first full season as a starter, the 20-year-old already leads the league in kills, assists, and damage numbers among junglers. He also excels in the early game, leading in average experience difference at 10 minutes and creep score difference at 10 minutes.

Be sure to watch Cloud9 as they aim to continue their winning streak against Immortals today in the LCS at 3pm CT.
