Jojopyun’s Decision to Join Cloud9 Emerges Following a Busy Free Agency Period Involving 5 Teams

Jojopyun Set to Join Cloud9 Ahead of 2024 Season

Joseph Joon “jojopyun” Pyun, the LCS 2023 Summer MVP, will reportedly join Cloud9 for the upcoming 2024 season, according to Sheep Esport on Nov. 2.

Interest from European Organizations and NA Orgs

European organizations Team Vitality and Team Heretics, as well as NA orgs FlyQuest and Golden Guardians, showed interest in signing the 19-year-old mid laner. However, it seems that jojopyun has decided on joining C9 as his next destination.

C9’s Roster Rebuild

C9, winners of the LCS Spring season and finalists of the Summer season, are looking to rebuild their roster after a disappointing run in the Worlds 2023 Swiss stage. With a 1-3 record, C9 is now focusing on the next season.

Versatile Mid Laner to Boost C9’s Roster

Jojopyun, known for playing 18 different champions throughout the year with Evil Geniuses (EG), will bring much-needed firepower to C9’s roster. However, this could mean the departure of current C9 mid laner EMENES.

If this move goes through, jojopyun will team up with Blaber, creating a formidable mid-jungle duo. Additionally, C9 is also in search of a new support player to pair up with ADC Berserker in the bot lane.
