RNG seeks vengeance against G2, secures top spot at MSI rumble stage

Royal Never Give Up Dominates G2 Esports in MSI Rumble Stage

Royal Never Give Up (RNG) gained revenge over G2 Esports at the 2022 Mid-Seasonal Invitational (MSI) today. From start to finish, RNG dominated the game, earning a straightforward 26-minute victory over the LEC champions and securing first place in the rumble stage.

RNG Settles the Score Against G2 Esports

Both G2 and RNG entered today’s showdown with only one loss each in the second phase of the 2022 MSI. G2 had their undefeated record broken by PSG Talon earlier in the day, while RNG suffered their only loss of the event against G2 earlier in the weekend. However, RNG managed to settle the score in today’s match.

Standout Performance by Gala

In today’s game, RNG maintained control of the tempo and put the match out of G2’s reach at the 24-minute mark. They claimed a Baron buff and extended their gold lead over the European champions to over 7,000. Although there was a glimmer of hope when BrokenBlade nearly stole the Baron, RNG remained in control. Gala, RNG’s AD carry, once again led the team to victory with his exceptional Xayah play and the support from Ming’s Rakan.

Gala stood out as he earned 1,800 more gold than any other player on the map by the 15-minute mark. While other players were still working on their first item, Gala was already building towards his mid-game power spike. He finished the game with a perfect scoreline of 8/0/2.

G2’s Loss Streak Continues

G2, who had won 24 consecutive games before today, has now suffered two consecutive losses. They are currently tied for second place in the MSI rumble stage with T1 and will face each other tomorrow to break the tie.

RNG now holds sole possession of first place in the rumble stage. Their schedule for tomorrow includes games against Saigon Buffalo and Evil Geniuses.
