Pobelter makes comeback in pro play, joins CLG as starting mid laner for week 5 of 2020 LCS Spring Split

Pobelter Returns as CLG’s Mid Laner for Week Five

The Notorious P.O.B., Eugene “Pobelter” Park, is making a comeback in the LCS. After serving as Team Liquid’s positional coach for four weeks, Pobelter will now be CLG’s starting mid laner in week five of the League of Legends season, as announced by the organization.

Last year’s offseason was tough for Pobelter as he was overlooked by multiple teams. However, his determination led him back to the LCS stage.

In a statement, Pobelter expressed his confidence in his abilities and his motivation to excel on the international stage as well. He believes that he hasn’t reached his full potential and remains just as driven as when he first entered the LCS.

Pobelter will be replacing Lee “Crown” Min-ho, who has struggled in the first four weeks of the split. Crown has the highest number of deaths and the lowest KDA among mid laners in the league. He also contributes a small amount of damage and has a low share of his team’s total gold.

On the other hand, Pobelter has always excelled in his lane, even with limited resources. Teammates like AD carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng have praised Pobelter’s skills, with Doublelift stating that Pobelter is still one of the top four mid laners in the region.

With only one win out of eight matches this season, CLG has decided to make changes and bring in Pobelter. His experience and veteran presence could be the catalyst the team needs to turn their fortunes around.

You can watch Pobelter’s 2020 debut when CLG faces off against Cloud9 on Saturday, Feb. 22.
