Blank, previous jungler of SKT, announces decision to become a free agent

Former SK Telecom T1 jungler Blank reveals free agency status

The former SK Telecom T1 (SKT) jungler, Kang “Blank” Sun-gu, announced today that he has received permission to become a free agent from his previous League of Legends team.

After departing from SKT, Blank joined Sengoku Gaming in the LJL (Japanese league) in May 2019. He has been with the organization for three splits since then.

Blank’s Success with SKT

Blank served as the backup jungler for SKT T1, making crucial contributions in turning around games. He often came off the bench to bring a much-needed spark when Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong was struggling.

During Blank’s time with SKT, the team won the 2016 World Championship and made it to the finals of the 2017 World Championship, although they were defeated in a clean sweep by Samsung.

Blank’s Future in the LJL

In 2018, after a challenging season, Blank joined Sengoku Gaming in the LJL. He has achieved moderate success in the Japanese scene. While he has declared free agency, there is a possibility he might re-sign with Sengoku Gaming if he doesn’t receive any other offers.

Considering the talent of rookie junglers in the LCK (Korean league) at the moment, it remains uncertain if any team would be willing to take a chance on Blank if he decides to return to Korea.
