A group of determined League of Legends players aimed to set a world record for the largest shield on one champion. With patience and experimentation, they achieved a shield that surpassed 38,000, but it required several attempts. While this supershield cannot be obtained in a regular game, it’s still impressive to witness the massive shield on an unkillable Sett.
Breaking Records with a Super Shield
In a quest to set the world record, these League of Legends players left no stone unturned. Through multiple tries and plenty of experimentation, they were able to create a shield that exceeded 38,000. Although this enormous shield cannot be obtained in a typical game, its existence on an invincible Sett is a sight to behold.
Strategy and Team Composition
In a separate document, the players shared the builds, champions, runes, and ability order required to achieve this incredible shield. They made five attempts using Karma, Lulu, Shen, Sylas, and Sett on their team, with Kindred on the opposing side. The purpose of Kindred’s presence was to eliminate Sett, allowing him to activate Gargoyle’s Stoneplate and unleash the massive shield.
“Due to the fact that I was the only one working out the math and was missing things left and right,” the player mentioned, “this strategy wasn’t fully optimized. No one else I know was interested in spending another hour in a custom game doing these nerdy calculations with me.”
Alternate Strategies and Challenges
Afterward, one of the players realized that Tahm Kench would have been a better choice since he could obtain a shield equal to 65% of his maximum health, surpassing Sett’s maximum shield by 15%. Another Reddit user suggested that Cho’Gath, with his infinitely stacking passive and Gargoyle’s Stoneplate, could break any shield “world record.” However, this method would require significantly more effort and time.
