Week 5 of the LCS: The comeback.

The LCS Landscape is back! Let’s dive into the European action for Week 5 of the Spring Split.

EU LCS

The top of the table is more competitive this split compared to Fnatic’s dominance last year. G2 and H2K are battling it out for first place. H2K’s victory over Unicorns of Love was helped by Jankos’ impressive performance with a 90% Kill Participation.

In the game between G2 and Vitality, Nukeduck and Cabochard had great performances. Nukeduck did over 33% of his team’s damage. Despite the loss, this win for VIT against G2 will boost their morale.

In H2K vs G2, H2K had a chance to extend their lead over G2 and secure 1st place. However, G2 won the game and tied with H2K at 8-2. Kikis had a remarkable performance on Malphite and Emperor had a Baron steal with Ezreal. This tie could be crucial for playoffs.

Fnatic introduced their new support, Klaj, in Week 5. Fnatic controlled their game against Elements and won. However, they lost to UoL and are now at 6-4 on the table. Fnatic needs to find solid ground soon to secure a good spot for playoffs.

Origen had another 1-1 week, with a convincing win against Splyce but a crushing defeat against Vitality. Origen needs to improve their performance to match their deep run at worlds.

Giants secured their first win of the split, breaking their long losing streak. They still have a chance to climb higher in the standings and out of relegation.

Now let’s head over to North America.

NA LCS

Immortals sit at 10-0, far ahead of any other team. They had another 2-0 week, with a win against Dignitas and a chaotic game against Cloud 9. IMT’s lead was too much for C9 to handle.

TSM won their games against Team Impulse and Counter Logic Gaming. Their win against CLG was convincing and the most solid they’ve looked all split. They need to continue their form as they face a strong looking Cloud 9 in Week 6.

Echo Fox played with their full roster and managed to secure a win against Renegades. They showed their strength in their game against NRG, with kfo’s crucial ultimates leading them to victory.

Week 6 in Europe will have some important games to watch.
