Amumu’s Bandage Toss and Curse of the Sad Mummy receive buffs in League Patch 10.4

Riot Games Improves Amumu in Upcoming League of Legends Patch

Riot Games has set its sights on the jungle for the next League of Legends patch. Amumu, the champion with an underwhelming win rate and minimal playtime, is getting some much-needed attention. With an outdated kit, Amumu has struggled to stay relevant in the meta. However, Riot is making changes to his abilities to make him a more viable pick.

To start, Riot is increasing the dash speed on Amumu’s Bandage Toss ability from 1,350 to 1,800. Previously, Amumu took too long to reach his target after landing a well-timed Q, giving opponents ample time to react and escape. This buff will make it harder for enemies to dodge his engage, allowing Amumu to engage with ease.

Amumu’s ultimate ability is also receiving buffs. The cooldown will be reduced from 150 to 110 to 130 to 100 seconds, and it will now stop dashes in their tracks. This means that Amumu can use his ultimate more frequently and prevent his targets from disengaging. By hitting a Q and immediately using his ultimate, enemies will find it difficult to escape his grasp.

Originally, Riot also planned to improve Amumu’s Tantrum ability by allowing it to stop incoming abilities or destroy missiles, similar to Yasuo’s Windwall. However, this change is no longer happening.

Patch 10.4 is set to release on Thursday, Feb. 20.
