Unbeatable Performances: A Recap of Day 3 at MSI 2022

MSI 2022 Group Stage: Highlights from Day Three

The halfway point of the group stage at MSI 2022 was reached on day three. The favored League of Legends teams continued to excel, showcasing their superiority over the competition. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the third day of MSI 2022.

GALA’s Pentakill

RNG, the reigning MSI champions, demonstrated their dominance once again. In their match against RED Canids, GALA and Ming chose an unconventional bot lane combination of Lucian and Nami. Despite an early-game deficit, GALA’s damage output became too much for RED Canids to handle. With seven kills already, GALA secured a pentakill, contributing to one of RNG’s most dominant victories at the tournament.

T1’s Historic Win Streak

T1, the undefeated team, extended their historic win streak by defeating DetonatioN FocusMe. Despite a strong performance from DFM’s ADC Yutapon, T1 proved to be too formidable. T1’s support Keria played a crucial role, utilizing Pyke to control the game. Within 20 minutes, T1 had established a significant lead in each lane and eventually secured another dominant victory with a 17,000 gold lead and 15 kills over their opponents.

T1 remains unbeaten in the regular season, playoffs, and MSI combined. All teams in Group A will compete against each other on May 15 to determine which teams will advance to the rumble stage at MSI 2022.
