Evil Geniuses Welcomes Peter Dun as Head Coach for LCS 2021

Evil Geniuses Hires Peter Dun as Head Coach for LCS Team

Evil Geniuses has taken a step towards improving its performance in the 2020 League of Legends season by appointing former MAD Lions coach Peter Dun as the head coach for its LCS team in the upcoming year.

Peter Dun joined MAD Lions as the head of the coaching staff in late 2019, where he, along with head coach James “Mac” MacCormack, played a crucial role in guiding a young and inexperienced roster to an impressive 11-7 record.

Peter Dun’s remarkable coaching abilities and empathetic nature make him an ideal addition to Evil Geniuses. His legacy at MAD Lions will be defined by his long-term planning and coaching approach focused on empathy towards the players, which resonates with head coach Mac.

The MAD Lions team made waves in the 2020 LEC Spring Split playoffs, defeating G2 Esports in a thrilling five-game series. Although they fell short against Fnatic and G2 in the postseason, their achievements did not go unnoticed. They continued to excel in the summer season, finishing second with wins against Fnatic, G2, and Rogue.

However, the team faced playoff disappointments once again, losing to G2 and Rogue and missing out on the championship. Although they secured a spot at Worlds as Europe’s fourth seed, they were eliminated in the play-in stage by SuperMassive Esports from Turkey.

Peter Dun’s coaching efforts with a young squad deserve praise, and now he faces a new challenge in NA. He aims to build and guide Evil Geniuses’ roster to success in the LCS.
