Valve acknowledges community feedback and boosts Dota 2 Battle Pass leveling speed

Valve Implements Changes to Dota 2 International 2020 Battle Pass

Valve has made some changes to the key features of the Dota 2 International 2020 Battle Pass. These changes aim to provide players with more rewards for playing the game and leveling up their Battle Pass. The updates include increasing Guild contracts, Sideshop gold, and general battle point rewards.

Increased Rewards for Battle Point Wagering and Guild Contracts

Valve has implemented the following changes in the newest update:

  • Wagering battle point rewards are now increased by 50 percent.
  • Guild contract battle point rewards are now increased by 100 percent.
  • Sideshop gold for Recycling is increased by 65 percent.
  • Sideshop gold for Guild contracts and upgrades are increased by 100 percent.

The community expressed concerns about the Battle Pass this year, specifically regarding the lack of rewards per level compared to previous years. While there is still a lot of content in the pass, it is spread out, requiring more levels to obtain rewards that were previously obtained at lower levels.

Valve analyzed the data and found that, on average, players earned 1.95 percent more free levels in 2020 compared to last year. Players below level 200 earned 7.91 more free levels than last year. However, Valve acknowledges that players still desired more rewards from playing the game.

With its latest update, Valve has addressed these concerns by increasing the Battle Pass rewards by 50 percent. These changes should alleviate many of the issues players had with the Battle Pass. Further updates may be implemented if the community continues to express dissatisfaction.

Overall, these updates aim to provide a more rewarding experience for players and encourage continued engagement with the game.
