League of Legends Ranked Season 13 Begins: Here’s What You Need to Know
The highly anticipated ranked season 13 for League of Legends is around the corner. This year, players can expect a revamped jungle, new pings, the return of the Chemtech Drake, and various item adjustments. Riot Games has now officially confirmed the start date and time for the new season.
In a move inspired by their Teamfight Tactics game, Riot Games is introducing two splits for the ranked season, allowing players to earn twice as many rewards as previous seasons. Additionally, two Victorious skins will be released this time. While the start date for the second split has not yet been revealed, it is expected to begin in June or July.
Season 13 Start Date and Time in Each Region
Season 13 officially kicks off with the launch of Patch 13.1, as confirmed by Riot Auberaun, the game producer of League of Legends. The update will roll out at the usual scheduled times for each region. The Oceania region will be the first to begin the new season at 1pm CT on January 10, followed by Vietnam at 6pm CT on January 11. The release schedule for the newly-launched SEA servers will align with this timing as well.

In addition to the season launch, Riot Games is hosting the Season 2023 Kickoff event from January 10 to 11. This event brings together top players from nine competitive leagues, including LCS, LEC, LCK, LPL, LJL, CBLOL, LLA, PCS, and VCS.
Each league will have its own set of rules for the event, with the LCS featuring a “Boomers vs. Zoomers” showdown.
