New League of Legends Champions Revealed: Meet Milio and Naafiri
League of Legends players have something to look forward to as Riot Games plans to unleash two exciting new champions on the Rift this year. Say hello to Milio, an adorable mage, and Naafiri, the edgy assassin. Riot recently revealed their names and shared more information about their stories.
Milio, the new male enchanter champion, hails from the distant city of Ixtal. With his trusty backpack, he carries the hopes and dreams of his family on his journey to Ixtal’s cardinal arcology. Milio’s expertise lies in elemental magic, particularly the fire axiom, which he skillfully uses to heal instead of causing damage.
Milio’s journey promises exciting challenges and encounters with familiar faces that League players know, such as Nidalee and possibly Qiyana.
Moving from Ixtal to the neighboring region of Shurima, players will meet Naafiri, the Darkin champion with an edgy flair. After awakening from her slumber, Naafiri’s main goal is to locate her siblings. Riot has hinted at the possibility of Naafiri having multiple bodies that she can use to find other Darkin and gain wisdom.
Naafiri, designed as a mid lane assassin, is perfect for players who prefer macro play over complex actions. She will prove to be a formidable opponent for all players, both Darkin and non-Darkin alike.
While the release dates for Milio and Naafiri are still uncertain, players can expect to see one of them in a few months during the next event. In addition to the new champions, Riot has also announced the return of a beloved skin line and the arrival of a new one, both of which will perfectly complement the introduction of the two champions to the Rift in 2023.
