Lurox fails to secure Schalke 04’s first victory in his LEC debut against Misfits

Schalke 04 Makes Roster Change but Struggles Continue in LEC Spring Split

Schalke 04 made a substitution in their starting roster by bringing in academy jungler Lukas “Lurox” Thoma after a disappointing 0-4 start in the 2020 LEC Spring Split. However, the change did not bring immediate success for the team.

In their first LEC game against Misfits, Lurox played it safe by choosing Jarvan IV, hoping to combine his abilities with veteran AD carry Konstantinos-Napoleon “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou’s Miss Fortune ultimate. Unfortunately, this strategy didn’t work out well for them.

During an early fight, Schalke gave up dragon priority, allowing Misfits to secure the objective and resulting in the loss of three players. The team seemed indecisive, unable to commit to their planned combo. This pivotal moment gave Misfits an early advantage, particularly the crucial infernal drake.

From then on, things only got worse for Schalke. They continued to lose teamfights, failing to secure a single kill. Misfits’ veteran mid laner Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten led his team of rookies to victory with four kills and zero deaths, aided by Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz’s impressive performance on Lee Sin, securing six kills.

Schalke will have another chance to turn things around tomorrow when they face SK Gaming, who have a 1-4 record in the Spring Split.
