Aurelion Sol’s League CGU rework boosts the brilliance of his new abilities

Aurelion Sol Returns to the Rift with a Sweeping Gameplay Update

Aurelion Sol, the cosmic dragon of League of Legends, is set to make a comeback in patch 13.3 this February. After a comprehensive gameplay update, the Star Forger will have a new kit of abilities that will shake up the game. Despite the changes, players can still expect the same familiar visuals and splash art for Aurelion Sol.

Aurelion Sol’s Passive Gets an Upgrade

In the upcoming patches, Aurelion Sol’s passive ability will undergo a significant change. Previously known as “Center of the Universe,” Aurelion Sol’s passive will now be called “Cosmic Creator.” The new passive, called Stardust, will permanently enhance all of Aurelion Sol’s abilities, providing various bonuses.

Changes to Aurelion Sol’s Q and W Abilities

Aurelion Sol’s Q ability, previously known as “Star Surge,” will now be called “Breath of Light.” Instead of creating an expanding galaxy, this new ability will unleash a breathing flame that deals damage to the first enemy hit and spreads reduced damage to nearby enemies. Additionally, Breath of Light will deal burst damage to an enemy for each cumulative second of the channeled ability. Damaging champions with this ability will grant Stardust, increasing the burst damage. As the game progresses, Breath of Light’s damage and range will increase with Aurelion Sol’s level.

Aurelion Sol’s W ability, known as “Celestial Expansion” in the past, has been replaced by “Astral Flight.” This ability allows Aurelion Sol to fly over terrain towards a targeted location, similar to his previous E ability, “Comet of Legend.” However, while flying, Aurelion Sol will be visible to nearby enemies and can cast his other abilities mid-air.

Aurelion Sol’s E and Ultimate Abilities

Aurelion Sol’s E ability, called “Singularity,” summons a black hole that damages and pulls enemies towards its center for a few seconds. The center of the black hole executes enemies below a certain health percentage and grants Aurelion Sol Stardust based on the type of enemy executed. Collecting Stardust increases the size of the Singularity and the dimension of the center zone.

Aurelion Sol’s ultimate ability, “Falling Star,” involves him crashing a star onto the earth, dealing damage and stunning all enemies hit. By collecting Stardust, Aurelion Sol can increase the size of his ultimate ability. Once he collects enough Stardust, Falling Star evolves into “The Skies Descend.” This transformed ability calls upon a massive star to descend, significantly increasing the impact zone and damage. It also creates a shockwave that damages and slows champions caught in its path.

Aurelion Sol’s Return to the Rift

With these exciting changes, Aurelion Sol is set to make a grand entrance back onto the Rift in League of Legends’ patch 13.3. Players can look forward to experiencing the revamped abilities of the Star Forger. As Aurelion Sol soars into battle, his enemies will realize that it’s already too late to seek cover.
