Riot introduces champions nerfs across all roles in Patch 13.21

Riot Games to Nerf Powerful League of Legends Champions in Patch 13.21

Riot Games, according to Lead Gameplay Designer Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, will be nerfing some of the strongest champions in League of Legends with the upcoming Patch 13.21.

In a recent post on X, Phroxzon revealed the upcoming changes for the patch, which includes nerfs to Dr. Mundo, Caitlyn, Jinx, Rammus, Briar, and Aurelion Sol. These champions have been dominating their roles in Patch 13.20.

Phroxzon explained that the developers are adjusting these champions because they are currently too powerful. Dr. Mundo is unbalanced after the durability patch, and Jinx is wreaking havoc in the bottom lane, especially in higher ranks.

According to U.GG, Dr. Mundo has the highest win rate in the top lane in Platinum+ ranks, at 52.99 percent. Rammus also has an impressive win rate of 54.53 percent in the jungle, while Briar sits at 51.97 percent.

Aurelion Sol and Jinx are currently top picks for midlane and AD Carry roles, respectively. As for Caitlyn, the developers are targeting one of her builds rather than the champion overall. Lethality Caitlyn has gained popularity among higher-ranked players and is now becoming her most powerful and popular build.

Patch 13.21 is set to be released on Oct. 21. Stay tuned for more details on the upcoming changes.
