Reeker, former mid laner of MAD Lions, joins BDS Academy

Reeker Returns to European Regional Leagues After LEC Debut

Just one split after his LEC debut, Reeker, who played the first half of the 2022 professional League of Legends season with MAD Lions, will return to the European regional leagues (ERLs) for another chance to hone his skills with Team BDS Academy.

Team BDS Academy: Second Place Finish in Ligue Francaise de League of Legends

BDS Academy, a team that competes in the Ligue Française de League of Legends (LFL), finished second in the league’s spring playoffs. They also qualified for the main event of EU Masters but were eliminated in the group stage.

Reeker Joins BDS Academy as Midlaner

Reeker’s move to BDS Academy was announced on Twitter by Team BDS. Reeker, who replaces the team’s previous midlaner, will now play in the LFL. (*Pending Riot approval)

Reeker joined MAD Lions prior to the 2022 season as a replacement for five-time All-Pro midlaner Humanoid, who signed with Fnatic. However, MAD Lions had a disappointing Spring Split, finishing with a record of 8-10 and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

In 18 games with MAD Lions, Reeker’s KDA was 3.2, which was the fourth-lowest among all LEC midlaners this spring, according to League stats site Games of Legends. Reeker will be replaced by Nisqy for the Summer Split while he participates in the LFL, as reported by Brieuc Seeger of Upcomer.

Reeker will join a long list of former LEC players who are currently playing in the LFL, including Cabochard, Vander, Rekkles, and others. He will team up with former Team Vitality AD carry Crownshot on BDS Academy’s 2022 summer roster.

As of now, the start dates for LFL and LEC Summer Splits have not been announced. However, based on historical precedent, the two European leagues should be expected to begin sometime in June.
