PowerOfEvil explains why FlyQuest’s 2-0 lead comes as no surprise

FlyQuest Starts Strong in LCS Summer Split

FlyQuest had a disappointing performance in the 2019 Summer Split of LCS, with 5 wins and 13 losses, ending up in ninth place. In an effort to improve, the team signed Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage and Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun. However, many experts were not impressed by these signings.

, in particular, ranked FlyQuest as the eighth-best team in the preseason power rankings. It’s easy to base judgments on results alone, but FlyQuest surprised everyone with a 2-0 victory in their opening weekend.

For PowerOfEvil, this outcome was expected. He had seen potential in the team during practice sessions and felt that the team atmosphere was great. Going into the match against his former team CLG, PowerOfEvil was confident in their abilities.

When PowerOfEvil joined FlyQuest, he didn’t see a struggling team. He recognized the synergy between the players from the very beginning. He praised WildTurtle for his consistently high damage output and was impressed by V1per’s talent despite his lack of experience. Santorin and IgNar were also key players that PowerOfEvil was excited to work with.

Santorin had expressed his desire to play with PowerOfEvil since their time on OpTic. This mutual interest in working together indicated the potential for strong mid-jungle synergy.

As for IgNar, he and PowerOfEvil were former teammates in the LEC. Their previous experience together set the stage for a successful start with FlyQuest. They were already on the same page, understanding each other’s playstyle and needs.

The weekend matches showcased FlyQuest’s natural synergy. From early ganks to coordinated plays, the team looked like they had been playing together for a long time. By 19 minutes, they had secured three dragons and taken all of CLG’s outer turrets without losing any of their own.

While FlyQuest’s 2-0 start is promising, PowerOfEvil acknowledges the need for adaptability and improvement. As the season progresses, new patches and champions will be introduced, and other teams will improve. In order to stay at the top, FlyQuest must remain ahead of the competition.

PowerOfEvil believes that their strong start will place them on everyone’s radar and show that they are a formidable team. However, only time will tell if this early success will continue throughout the split.

Next up, FlyQuest will face off against Team Liquid on February 2nd at 2pm CT.
