Huni Rumored to Join Echo Fox Alongside Dardoch, Altec, and Adrian in NA

Huni to Potentially Join Echo Fox in NA LCS

Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, famous for his involvement in the League of Legends community, is currently in the spotlight. He recently parted ways with SK Telecom T1 and now sources suggest that he might be heading back to North America to compete for Echo Fox in the newly-franchised NA LCS, as reported by ESPN.

If negotiations are successful, Huni will be joining three other new players on the Echo Fox roster: Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett, Adrian Ma, and Johnny “Altec” Ru.

Potential Buyout Deal for Dardoch

Echo Fox is currently working on a buyout deal to acquire Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett, who is currently under contract with Team Liquid until 2019. Team Liquid has confirmed that Jake “Xmithie” Puchero will be their starting jungler for the upcoming season. This means that Dardoch would either be a substitute or share the role if he stayed on the team. Therefore, a trade or buyout for Dardoch seemed inevitable.

In a previous trade, Dardoch was controversially sent to CLG from Immortals in exchange for Xmithie, who had been a part of CLG for three years. Dardoch was later released from CLG due to disagreement with the team’s expectations, before rejoining Team Liquid where he made his NA LCS debut in 2016.

Adding Adrian and Altec to the Roster

Adrian Ma and Johnny “Altec” Ru are also joining Echo Fox. They were picked up from free agency, as their contracts with Team Dignitas expired after Dignitas left the NA LCS.

Huni’s previous stint in the NA LCS was with Immortals, where he led the team to win their first split title in the spring of 2016. If the deal with Echo Fox goes through, he will need to put in a lot of effort to help the team avoid finishing in the bottom three for the fourth split in a row.
