Rebuilds on the Horizon: FlyQuest and CLG
CLG has had a disappointing season with five consecutive losses. Despite adding Damonte to the roster, they have struggled to find success. On the other hand, FlyQuest has been performing well, even with their Academy roster. Their young players are gaining valuable experience by playing against strong playoff-bound teams.
A Hodgepodge of Mediocrity: Dignitas, Golden Guardians, Immortals
Dignitas surprised everyone with a big win over 100 Thieves, displaying the team’s potential. Golden Guardians have been playing exceptionally well, and Licorice has been a standout player. Immortals started strong but has been inconsistent. While they have the potential to make a splash in the playoffs, they need to find more consistency.
Treading Water: Cloud9, Team Liquid
C9 and Liquid, last split’s finalists, have not lived up to expectations this season. They are still in the playoff race, but they need to step up their game to secure a top-three seed for Worlds.
Holding on at the Top: 100 Thieves, TSM, Evil Geniuses
100 Thieves and TSM bounced back after a rough weekend and continue to dominate. Evil Geniuses, led by rookie ADC Danny, have been impressive. These three teams remain at the top of the league.
