Dignitas affirms Dardoch’s return as starting jungler for 2021

Dignitas signs Dardoch as starting jungler for 2021 LCS Spring Split

In preparation for the upcoming 2021 LCS Spring Split, Dignitas has already secured Dardoch as their starting jungler, the organization announced today. After an unsuccessful stint on TSM, Dardoch joined Dignitas as their ninth LCS team, but they struggled to find success this year as well.

Past performance and challenges

Prior to Dardoch’s arrival, Dignitas finished the 2020 Spring Split in seventh place with an 8-10 record. Although they narrowly missed out on the playoffs, they were eventually defeated by Golden Guardians in a tiebreaker match. Unfortunately, Dignitas performed even worse in the following split, finishing in eighth place and losing more games compared to the spring split. While Dardoch’s individual stats were decent, the team as a whole couldn’t match up to more cohesive rosters.

Dardoch’s impressive stats

Despite the team’s struggles, Dardoch showcased his skills with a 3.2 KDA and the second-highest average damage to champions per minute among LCS junglers, according to Oracle’s Elixir. Additionally, he contributed to 27 percent of his team’s total kills, ranking him third-best in his role.

Building a roster around Dardoch

Now, Dignitas will need to construct a roster that complements Dardoch’s abilities. Known for his aggressive playstyle, Dardoch has also gained a reputation as one of the most outspoken and controversial players in the LCS.
