Schalke 04’s Academy League team secures unlikely Baron steal with Liandry’s burn to win match

Schalke 04 Evolution’s Mid Laner Pulls Off Unbelievable Baron Steal

Baron steals are always impressive in the world of League of Legends, but Daniel “Sertuss” Gamani from Schalke 04 Evolution recently made one of the luckiest steals we’ve ever seen.

In a recent match in the German Prime League against Mousesports, Schalke 04 Evolution was about to secure an easy Baron buff while the rest of the team moved to take the dragon. Everything seemed to be going smoothly for Mousesports until Sertuss had a different plan.

Sertuss used Orianna’s Q ability to hit the enemy team’s Leona, triggering the Luden’s Echo effect, which unexpectedly bounced onto the Baron with 1,727 HP remaining. Additionally, this activated the burn effect of Liandry’s Torment on the Baron, which was then finished off by Mousesports’ jungler, Patrick “Obsess” Engelmann.

However, Obsess mistimed his smite, leaving the Baron with a mere four HP. With the Liandry’s burn continuing to tick, Schalke was able to swoop in and steal the Baron. It took a combination of fortunate events, from the Luden’s bounce to the mistimed smite, for Schalke to pull off this incredible steal.

With the Baron securely in their hands, Schalke went on to win the subsequent teamfight and the game. This moment highlights the importance of timing in League of Legends and shows that anyone can achieve victory with a little bit of luck on their side.
