The 2020 LCS Spring Finals to Take Place in Texas

League of Legends Spring Finals Coming to Texas

Exciting news for League of Legends fans! The LCS is making history by bringing the 2020 Spring Finals to Texas for the first time, as announced by Riot Games today.

The grand finals of the Spring Split will take place at the Ford Center at The Star on April 18 and 19. More details about the event will be released on Feb. 14, and tickets will be available for purchase starting Feb. 21.

State-of-the-Art Venue

The Star, the official headquarters and practice facility of the Dallas Cowboys, will serve as the venue for the event. It is also the team headquarters of popular esports organization Complexity Gaming. With a capacity of about 12,000 people, the stadium can accommodate 2,000 more than last year’s venue in St. Louis.

Dallas Cowboys COO Stephen Jones expressed his excitement about partnering with the City of Frisco to bring this major esports event to the Ford Center. He emphasized that as the esports industry continues to grow, they will continue to create unique experiences for fans.

Economic Impact

The LCS Summer Finals from last year contributed $5.44 million to Detroit’s economy. With the Spring Finals being held in Texas this year, there is hope that it will have a similar positive impact on the local esports community.
