AKRacing Becomes Official Chair Supplier for LEC 2020 Season
Riot Games has announced that AKRacing is the newest partner and official chair supplier for this year’s LEC. European League of Legends professionals can now kick back and relax in AKRacing chairs.
In the past two years, DXRacer has been the official chair supplier for the LEC. However, Riot Games has decided to switch to a lesser-known brand for this season’s on-stage events.
AKRacing’s partnership manager, Chris Katzer, expressed excitement about the 2020 LEC Season partnership. He said, “We are beyond ecstatic to be making our entry into the world that is League of Legends. Together with Riot Games, we’re able to share our passion for gaming and comfort as we bring our premium chairs to the players of the European Championship.”
While Riot Games had a deal with SecretLabs to provide chairs for other events, including the LCS and World Championship, the LEC was not included in the agreement. AKRacing’s partnership with the LEC will give the chair company significant exposure in one of the most popular esports leagues.
AKRacing, founded in 2001, initially established itself in the automotive industry. The company has since formed partnerships with esports organizations like Team Dignitas, HellRaisers, and Team Torpedo.
This collaboration between AKRacing and the LEC is expected to be a beneficial move for both parties.
