Riot to Balance Zeri, Lee Sin, and Other Champions in League Patch 12.7 ahead of MSI Tournament

League of Legends Patch 12.7 Balance Changes Revealed by Riot Games

Riot Games has unveiled the upcoming balance changes for League of Legends Patch 12.7. These changes are aimed at shaking up the meta’s dominant picks and introducing new ones before the Mid-Season Invitational. The patch preview can be found here.

Last season, Riot made significant alterations to the meta before the MSI, bringing non-meta picks like Lee Sin in the top lane, and Rumble and Morgana in the jungle position into the competitive spotlight.

The Mid-Season Invitational of 2021 was played on Patch 11.9, which means that there will likely be two more balance patches before this year’s tournament.

A total of 14 champions will be affected by the balance changes in Patch 12.7. Notably, Zeri, Ryze, Lee Sin, and Jayce will receive nerfs in this update. The changes will cover champions from various positions across the Rift, excluding support champions, as balance updates for support are planned for the near future.

Champions Nerfed in League Patch 12.7:

  • Zeri
  • Ryze
  • Lee Sin
  • Jayce

In addition to champion nerfs, certain items like Fimbulwinter, Galeforce, and Moonstone Renewer will also be nerfed in Patch 12.7. The only rune to receive a nerf in this patch is Time Warp Tonic.

League Patch 12.7 is set to be released on Wednesday, April 13.
