TSM’s Founder Proposes $10,000 Bet with Other NA LCS Owners for Split Winner, with Riot’s Approval

TSM Owner Wants to Make a $10,000 Bet with Each NA LCS Team

Andy “Reginald” Dinh, the owner and founder of TSM, has proposed a unique bet for the 2018 Spring Split champions. He wants each NA LCS team to contribute a $10,000 buy-in, with the winner taking home the entire pot. If all 10 teams opt in, up to $100,000 could be up for grabs. While Regi wants the winnings to go to a charity of the winner’s choice, the bragging rights will still remain. Interestingly, Riot is fully supportive of this separate prize pool, as confirmed by league operations discipline lead Chris Greeley.

Several Owners Have Already Joined

Some team owners have already chosen to participate in the bet. This includes Hector Rodriguez from OpTic Gaming, Rick Fox from Echo Fox, and Steve Arhancet from Team Liquid. As a result, the total pot has already reached $40,000.

G2 Esports Owner Suggests Similar Bet for EU LCS

Carlos Rodríguez Santiago, owner and CEO of G2 Esports, is excited about the idea and has asked other owners in the EU LCS if they would be interested in a similar bet for their region.

The NA LCS Spring Split will kick off on Jan. 20 with a match between TSM and Team Liquid. The other NA LCS teams have until then to decide if they want to participate in this high-stakes bet.
