EG’s CEO emphatically denies allegations of mistreatment within the company: ‘We are deeply committed to addressing this matter’

Evil Geniuses CEO Addresses Allegations of Player Mistreatment

Evil Geniuses’ CEO Nicole LaPointe Jameson has responded to recent allegations regarding the treatment of specific players on the team’s League of Legends roster.

A popular LEC caster, Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont, reviewed supposed screengrabs of messages from a family member of EG’s rising star AD carry, Danny. The messages claimed that the organization did not treat Danny as well as portrayed during his time in the main lineup.

Allegations of Mistreatment

Details were not specified, but the messages alleged that EG fired a bottom lane positional coach after the staff member stood up for Danny and went to the LCS Players Association to complain on his behalf. Danny’s mother is also reportedly speaking with the LCSPA, but the messages suggest that the 18-year-old does not want to cause any major issues.

CEO’s Response

In response to the allegations, Jameson expressed disappointment and shock. While she could not provide extensive details due to legal constraints, she reassured the community that all accusations were completely untrue and unfounded.

Jameson stated, “We hire and don’t hire based on athletic needs for upcoming seasons and support. We love to support, and will continue to support and invest in our players.”

Third-Party Investigation

As part of their commitment to their players, EG brought on a third-party council in November to investigate their LCS operations and address any potential issues. They are dedicated to adopting the best practices and taking player support seriously.

Contradictory Allegations

These new allegations directly contradict the supportive nature that EG has displayed on social media, particularly when Danny prioritized his mental health and stepped away from professional play in the summer. Although Danny will not be starting for the organization in 2023, the team has signed former 100 Thieves marksman FBI to take his place on the roster.
