V-Tune Achieves 10,000 MMR Milestone in Dota 2

Rising CIS Dota 2 Player V-Tune Reaches 10,000 MMR

Yet another CIS player has achieved the prestigious milestone of 10,000 MMR in Dota 2. This time, it’s a rising star rather than a seasoned veteran making waves in the community.

Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey, although not yet part of a highly competitive team, has earned a reputation as a pubstar in the region. He now joins the ranks of the 11 players who have officially reached this rank.

A Significant Achievement for V-Tune

Reaching this milestone is a tremendous accomplishment for any player, and prior to Valve’s recent implementation of static MMR gain and loss, only four players had achieved this feat. With the introduction of controlled MMR systems, several others have now joined the elite group of 10,000 MMR players.

V-Tune, who entered the competitive scene in 2018, is the third newer player to achieve this milestone. He currently plays for the team FlyToMoon after a brief stint with HellRaisers and departure from Dendi’s stack before the formation of B8.

The 10,000 MMR Players

Below is a list of the 11 players who have confirmed their 10,000 MMR achievements. Several others, such as Igor “iLTW” Filatov, Nisha, and David “Moo” Hull, have hit this mark on the leaderboards but have yet to confirm it via social media.

  1. Abed (Evil Geniuses)
  2. MidOne (OG)
  3. Arteezy (EG)
  4. RAMZES666 (EG)
  5. Marc “Raven” Polo Luis Fausto (GeekFam)
  6. Rafli “Mikoto” Fathu Rahman (BOOM Esports)
  7. w33 (Nigma)
  8. Armel (TNC Predator)
  9. Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang (EHOME)
  10. no[o]ne (Virtus.pro)
  11. V-Tune (FlyToMoon)

V-Tune’s Journey in the Global Leaderboard

Currently, V-Tune is tied for fourth place in the Dota 2 global leaderboard, with Mikoto, SumaiL, and no[o]ne holding the top spot. These rankings are constantly updated, and even a single loss can cause a player to drop as much as 10 spots.

Expecting More Players to Reach 10,000 MMR

With Valve continuing to make changes to the MMR system, we can anticipate more players who have been on the cusp of reaching the 10,000 mark to achieve it in the coming weeks. This is especially likely as many players choose to stay home and play Dota during the coronavirus outbreak.
