Golden Guardians unveils their Academy League lineup

Golden Guardians completes its academy roster for NA LCS

Golden Guardians, the newest addition to the North American League of Legends Championship Series, has announced the completion of its academy roster, as revealed on Twitter. Led by experienced support player Alex “Xpecial” Chu, the Golden Guardians’ academy lineup includes top laner Thomas “Jenkins” Tran, jungler Nicholas “Potluck” Pollock, mid laner Qin “Bobqin” Bo-Yuan, and AD carry Clarence “Jurassiq” Mabansag.

These relatively unknown players bring varying levels of experience to the Academy League. Bobqin and Potluck both served as substitutes for the North American Challenger team eUnited in 2017. Jurassiq played in the NA CS 2017 summer qualifiers for Team Gates, while Jenkins participated in the 2016 Scouting Grounds tournament.

Golden Guardians is the eighth NA LCS organization to finalize its Academy League team, joining OpTic Gaming, who made their announcement earlier. Team Liquid is the only remaining team to not disclose any details about their academy roster.

The NA LCS Academy League is set to begin on January 18, with the first live broadcast scheduled for January 19.
