Hanwha Life signs two World Champions to join its League roster in 2023

Hanwha Life Esports Completes Super Roster for 2023 Season

Hanwha Life Esports has made another big move ahead of the 2023 season. Following the acquisition of former EDward Gaming and 2021 World Champion ADC Park “Viper” Do-hyeon, the team has now confirmed the addition of former DRX players Hwang “Kingen” Sung-hoon and Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo.

The duo played pivotal roles in DRX’s run to the 2022 World Championship, where they narrowly defeated T1 in an intense final series. Kingen was named MVP of the grand final, while Zeka gained recognition for his remarkable performance, including solo kills against top players like EDG’s mid laner Lee “Scout” Ye-chan.

Prior to the official announcement, rumors circulated about who would join Hanwha Life and Viper in forming their super roster. Although Scout was considered for the mid lane position, former Griffin head coach Han “H Dragon” Sang-yong revealed that Zeka was selected as the better player.

With top laner, mid laner, and ADC positions secured, Hanwha Life now needs to finalize their jungle and support roles. Reports suggest that former FunPlus Phoenix jungler Kim “Clid” Tae-min and renowned support player Kim “Life” Jeong-min are the top candidates to complete the roster. Fans eagerly await further updates to see if the dream super roster will become a reality.
