A New Threat in League of Legends: Meet Briar, the Restrained Hunger
The world of League of Legends is about to face a major threat from a new champion, and this one won’t be satisfied with just a little bloodshed.
The newest addition to the League roster is Briar, also known as the Restrained Hunger. She is now available for purchase in the shop for 7,800 Blue Essence or 975 Riot Points. Briar can be played in all normal and ranked queues. After two weeks, her price will be lowered to 6,300 Blue Essence for the foreseeable future.
Briar: The Quintessential Feast or Famine Jungler
Briar is a relentless jungler who thrives on being in the face of her enemies. She embodies the concept of “feast or famine.” Without innate health regeneration, she must rely on attacking specific targets to satisfy her insatiable appetite and stay alive.
Unleashing Briar’s Full Power with Certain Death
Although Briar is initially restrained by her pillory, she can unlock it to unleash her true potential. Her ultimate ability, Certain Death, allows her to kick the hemolith holding her pillory, propelling her at incredible speed towards any enemy champion that is hit. They will undoubtedly experience the true meaning behind the ultimate’s name.
New Street Demons Skin Line and More
Briar’s launch skin belongs to the Street Demons skin line, which features demon-like champions in street attire, ready to cause mayhem and have fun while doing it. Alongside Briar’s skin, there are new Street Demons outfits available for Neeko, Dr. Mundo, Zyra, Brand, and Rengar in the shop, priced at 1,350 RP each.
However, due to Briar’s recent release, she is unlikely to be eligible to participate in this year’s World Championship, as the tournament will be played on Patch 13.19, which will be released on Sept. 27. This patch will also introduce a new skin line celebrating life after death.
