Bilibili Gaming emerged victorious over FunPlus Phoenix in a thrilling 2-1 series during the 2021 LPL Summer Split.
FunPlus Phoenix entered this League of Legends match after a surprising loss to IG last week. Unfortunately, they displayed the same weaknesses today, allowing Bilibili Gaming to exploit them and secure the series win.
BLG’s Biubiu and Weiwei Shine as MVPs
Bilibili Gaming’s top laner Biubiu and jungler Weiwei earned the Most Valuable Player votes for their outstanding performances. Biubiu dominated the first match with Lee Sin, finishing with an impressive KDA of 13/1/9. Meanwhile, Weiwei’s early-game prowess with Olaf in the third game provided his team with numerous leads.
FPX’s Mistakes Lead to Their Downfall
In all three games, Bilibili Gaming showcased superior drafts and showcased better gameplay across all lanes. FunPlus Phoenix seemed lost and lacked coordination during team fights, similar to their previous series against IG. Bilibili Gaming capitalized on these weaknesses, securing their well-deserved victory.
BLG Plays as United Force
Bilibili Gaming displayed excellent teamwork, promptly following up on engagements and achieving clean teamfight wins against FunPlus Phoenix. Despite some overaggression in the second game, they regrouped in the final match to secure the overall 2-1 series win.
