The Departure of Evil Geniuses Top Laner
The team formerly known as Evil Geniuses seemed like it would avoid the roster shuffling that has plagued League of Legends this offseason. But recently, Tyson “Innox” Kapler revealed that he will be leaving the team.
Kapler will stay in the competitive scene, but will move to the mid lane, a position that better suits his playing style. Throughout the year, Kapler showed diversity in his champion pool and was willing to do whatever his team needed. Despite being the whipping boy for Evil Geniuses, he remained committed to the team’s success.
With Kapler’s departure, the team is left with three players on the roster. However, it is unclear whether any of the three players will be returning to the team. If Evil Geniuses can hold onto their young mid and marksman players, Park and Altec, they could become strong contenders in the League Championship Series.
