Stridebreaker Nocturne maintains dominance in League’s jungle meta with a 55-percent win rate

Rumble in the Jungle: Nocturne Dominating the League of Legends Meta

In Patch 11.13, the changes to Stridebreaker may have shifted the meta, but no champion has benefitted more than Nocturne. With a 55.11% win rate in the jungle, Nocturne is almost unstoppable, making him one of the most effective and proactive picks in the game.

According to lolalytics, Nocturne’s win rate is accompanied by a ban rate of around 30%, solidifying his dominance. Despite this, Riot Games has only made a minor nerf to Nocturne’s healing from minions in the upcoming Patch 11.14, which doesn’t affect his jungle prowess. With the combination of his Umbra Blades passive healing and items like Stridebreaker, Nocturne is here to stay in the meta.

Nocturne’s dominance extends beyond solo queue. In professional play, he boasts a 74.7% win rate across various positions, including mid and top lanes as well as the jungle. While he may not be as prevalent as Lee Sin, Nocturne remains a successful flex pick and ban option throughout Patch 11.13.

Riot’s criteria for nerfs typically revolves around win rate and ban rate thresholds between 50% and 53%. However, champions like Nocturne have been exempt from immediate nerfs despite exceeding these thresholds. This lack of direct nerfs to Nocturne’s kit ensures his continued presence in the meta.

As long as Stridebreaker exists in its current form, Nocturne’s high mobility, damage, and crowd control will keep him at the top of the jungle meta.
