One newly released champion surpasses Zed as the most banned in three different roles in League of Legends

The Rise of Naafiri in League of Legends

Naafiri has quickly become the most banned champion in League of Legends, overtaking Zed as the season’s most banned character in the jungle, top, and mid lanes.

Naafiri made her debut in League in Patch 13.14 and has proven to be a formidable and versatile champion. With her Darkin-tainted blades, deadly dashes, and durable Packmates, Naafiri can excel in various roles on the Rift.

Naafiri’s Domination and Ban Rate

Being a newer champion, facing Naafiri can be challenging due to the unknowns surrounding her abilities. Combined with her strengths, this has contributed to her high ban rate of 41.4%, according to U.GG, a popular League stats page.

What sets Naafiri apart is that she is banned in three different roles. She excels in the mid lane with a win rate of 50.49% and is also strong in the top lane with a win rate of 49.13%.

Interestingly, she is also being banned in the jungle role despite having a low win rate of 41.63%. However, her versatility and the fear of her ganking potential make her a threat even in this role.

Looking Ahead

If you’re planning to main Naafiri for the rest of League Season 13, you may have to wait until she becomes less frequently banned. The arrival of Briar on September 27 may open up more opportunities for playing Naafiri.
