A dedicated League of Legends player recently made an unusual move in the game by spending years’ worth of collected resources to complete a “stupid joke.” They proudly shared a screenshot on Reddit, showcasing Amumu as the only champion displayed on their League client.
This player went to great lengths to achieve this, as Amumu was the only remaining champion they needed to purchase out of the 164 released champions. Despite its low cost of 450 Blue Essence, not buying Amumu can be seen as a challenge, especially considering it was released six years before this player’s achievement.
The Reddit thread gained attention from fellow players who appreciated the player’s unique goal. Amumu, known for his cute appearance, has the ability to harm opponents when he cries, making him a beloved champion.
A Rioter’s Heartwarming Gesture
The thread even caught the attention of a Rioter named HunterFork, who was moved by the player’s screenshot. They decided to send the player Riot Points (RP) so they could purchase Amumu and end his loneliness.

While Amumu has finally found companionship, players can look forward to another lonely champion, Briar, joining the game as the next jungler. This vampire character has been locked up in a castle for thousands of years, and it seems she won’t be making many friends in the Summoner’s Rift.
