The 2021 LCS Summer Split is three weeks in, with six more weeks to go. Each team has 18 games left to make their case for a playoff spot. While some teams are settling in with their new rosters, others are fighting to stay alive.
LCS Power Rankings: Shuffling from Top to Bottom
Our LCS power rankings have seen a lot of movement this week. Nine out of the ten teams have changed positions compared to last week. This proves that the LCS is still an open field. Here are our rankings after three weeks of the Summer Split.
Immortals, FlyQuest, and Golden Guardians Struggle
Immortals had a strong performance in week three, showing promise as a team. FlyQuest has lost four out of their last five games, making them look like the weakest team in the LCS. Golden Guardians, on the other hand, have shown improvement and have a better macro play. However, they still struggle early in the game due to a lack of raw talent.
Dignitas and CLG on Opposite Trajectories
Dignitas started strong but has lost their identity after benching key players. On the other hand, CLG has revitalized their playoff chances with a 3-0 weekend. They have shown creativity in their picks and improved their overall performance.
Team Liquid, Cloud9, and Evil Geniuses Face Challenges
Team Liquid is facing rough times with coaching and player issues. This could affect their regular season standings and playoff chances. Cloud9, once a consistent team, has struggled recently and needs to regain fans’ trust. Evil Geniuses has a strong early game but struggles in the mid-to-late game, which they need to improve upon.
Stability Leads TSM and 100 Thieves to the Top
TSM and 100 Thieves have shown consistency and remain at the top of the LCS standings. TSM’s dominant performance against Cloud9 has solidified their position. Although 100 Thieves had a loss against CLG, they still have the opportunity to prove themselves and challenge TSM.
It’s an exciting time for the LCS as new teams rise to the top. TSM and 100 Thieves are leading the pack with a combination of new talent and experienced players. They are likely to maintain their positions in the power rankings.
