The 2023 preseason for League of Legends has arrived, bringing significant changes to the game’s items. Two years ago, the developers revamped the item system, introducing a new tiered system that allowed for more diverse builds across all positions.
This preseason, players can expect three new Mythic items to be introduced, along with updates to some existing items. Additionally, older items like Rod of Ages will be making a comeback. However, some Mythic items like Turbo Chemtank will be downgraded, losing their Mythic passives.

Jak’Sho, the Protean (new Mythic Item):
– 400 Health
– 30 Armor
– 30 Magic Resist
– 20 Ability Haste
Voidborn Resilience: Gain stacks in combat, increasing Armor and Magic Resist. At max stacks, drain enemies and double resists (60 second cooldown).
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items Armor and Magic Resist.
Radiant Virtue (new Mythic Item):
– 400 Health
– 30 Armor
– 30 Magic Resist
– 20 Ability Haste
Guiding Light: Upon casting ultimate, gain Transcend buff, increasing maximum health and granting Ability Haste. You and allies also heal based on missing health (90 second cooldown).
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items Health.
Heartsteel (new Mythic Item):
– 800 Health
– 200% Base Health Regeneration
– 20 Ability Haste
Colossal Consumption: Charge powerful attack against champion, draining target for bonus physical damage and healing. Gain maximum health permanently (30 second cooldown per target).
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items increased health and champion size.
Rod of Ages (returning as Mythic Item):
– 60 Ability Power
– 300 Health
– 300 Mana
Gains health, mana, and ability power every minute, up to max stacks. Upon reaching max stacks, gain a level.
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items Ability Haste.
Catalyst of Aeons (returning):
– 225 Health
– 300 Mana
Eternity: Restore mana and health based on damage taken and mana spent. Toggled abilities have healing limit.
Spear of Shojin (returning):
– 65 Attack Damage
– 300 Health
– 20 Ability Haste
Dragonforce: Non-ultimate spells gain Ability Haste. Movement speed increased based on missing health.
Exigency: Increased movement speed based on missing health.
Iceborn Gauntlet (returning):
– 400 Health
– 40 Armor
– 20 Ability Haste
Spellblade: Enhanced attack with bonus damage and slow effect. Your primary target is slowed and deals reduced damage against you.
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items health, Tenacity, and Slow Resist.
Abyssal Mask (updated):
– 500 Health
– 300 Mana
– 40 Magic Resist
– 10 Ability Haste
Eternity: Restore health and mana based on damage taken and mana spent. Unmake: Curse nearby enemy champions, reducing Magic Resist and gaining Magic Resist for each Cursed enemy.
Randuin’s Omen (updated):
– 400 Health
– 70 Armor
Humility: Slow nearby enemies for 2 seconds (60 second cooldown).
Rock Solid: Reduce incoming damage from attacks. Critical Resilience: Reduce damage from Critical Strikes.
Ravenous Hydra (updated):
– 65 Attack Damage
– 20 Ability Haste
– 9% Omnivamp
Cleave: Deal damage to other enemies near the target hit. Carnivorous: Gain AD and Omnivamp when killing enemies, stacking up to certain amounts. Can only hit each target once every 10 seconds.
Sunfire Aegis (Mythic status removed):
– 400 Health
– 50 Armor
Immolate: Deal magic damage to nearby enemies when taking or dealing damage.
Turbo Chemtank (Mythic status removed):
– 450 Health
– 50 Magic Resist
– 10 Ability Haste
Supercharged: Gain movement speed towards enemies or turrets. Emit a shockwave that slows nearby champions.
The League preseason will begin on Nov. 16, with the 2023 ranked season expected to start in early January.
