League player finds out that Urgot’s execute still functions within Tahm Kench’s latest ultimate

New Tahm Kench Ultimate Ability Interactions in League of Legends

Tahm Kench, the champion in League of Legends, recently underwent a rework that moved his popular Devour ability to his ultimate. However, the new interactions it has with other champions and their abilities are quite unusual.

In a Reddit clip that was posted today, an Urgot player attempted to take on the opposing Darius and Tahm Kench in a one-vs-two scenario, hoping to make use of the execution feature of their ultimate ability. However, when Tahm Kench used his new ultimate on Urgot—right after Urgot had activated the first part of their ultimate ability on Darius—a strange interaction occurred.

Tahm Kench’s new ultimate is his previous W ability, but now it deals more damage when spitting out enemies and provides a large shield to allies he spits out. When Tahm Kench attempted to devour Urgot, the player likely expected it to suppress Urgot’s ultimate ability and prevent Darius from being executed. However, Urgot’s chains were too powerful for Tahm Kench’s bottomless stomach. Instead, the chains ripped out of Tahm Kench’s model, bringing Darius in for his impending execution.

This is not the only strange interaction caused by Tahm Kench’s new ultimate. Other clips shared online have shown champions who typically remain stationary while using their ultimates being able to move around when devoured by Tahm Kench. Even Sylas has struggled to fully master this new ultimate ability, as he now has difficulty maintaining the form of the River King when stealing the Devour ability.

Players can test out the slightly reworked Tahm Kench on League of Legends‘ live servers, where they may stumble upon even more peculiar interactions.
