Corki player falls to AD Yuumi mid in League solo queue

AD Yuumi Mid Surprises Corki Player in Solo Queue

Solo queue in League of Legends can be an unpredictable place. Players may encounter unusual picks that deviate from the standard meta. In one surprising matchup, a Corki player faced off against an AD Yuumi mid. Despite Corki’s advantage as a staple pick in the mid lane, the off-role support proved to be unexpectedly strong, as shown in a video on Reddit.

In the video shared on Reddit (watch here), the Corki player was taken by surprise by the AD Yuumi’s ability to outperform.

Typically, Yuumi relies on her teammates and her ability to attach to them, becoming untargetable while providing additional damage and healing. However, in this case, the Yuumi player capitalized on their opponent’s lack of anticipation for this unorthodox playstyle.

The clash between Yuumi and Corki started early in the lane. As they traded auto attacks and abilities, Corki suffered additional damage from the enemy minions, who began targeting him after he harmed Yuumi. With a few more auto attacks and the use of Ignite, Yuumi successfully eliminated Corki at level one.

Corki and Yuumi, although not usually seen in the same lane, have been prominent picks in the mid and support roles respectively during the 2022 season. While the meta has evolved through patches, it is unlikely that the Corki player will encounter an AD Yuumi again. However, this unique experience will surely have a lasting impact on their progression through solo queue.
