Cloud9 takes a convincing lead in the LCS Spring Split playoff race following a dominant superweek victory against Dignitas

Cloud9 Dominates Dignitas in LCS Superweek

Cloud9, currently in first place, quickly defeated Dignitas in their LCS superweek match, securing a wire-to-wire victory in just 29 minutes.

Gnar’s Dominance Gives Cloud9 an Early Advantage

Within 15 minutes of the game, Cloud9 established a significant gold advantage of over 4,000 credits. This was largely due to the dominating performance of their top and bottom lanes. Summit, the top laner, completely controlled the game with Gnar, constantly pressuring and outplaying his opponent, FakeGod. Summit’s split-pushing capabilities made it impossible for Dignitas to respond effectively. He finished the game with a scoreline of 3/2/2 and accounted for over 40 percent of Cloud9’s total damage, according to League stats site Oracle’s Elixir.

Dignitas’ Upcoming Challenges

Dignitas faces a tough schedule to secure a spot in the top six for the Spring Split playoffs. They will be playing against the top three teams in the league: Cloud9, Team Liquid, and 100 Thieves, all of whom have already qualified for the playoffs.

However, Dignitas can take comfort in the fact that their schedule will get relatively easier after this difficult stretch. Nevertheless, they face an uphill battle as they lost their third consecutive game against Cloud9, putting them two games below a .500 record and tied with Golden Guardians for sixth place.

Cloud9 Extends Their Lead, TSM Keeps Playoff Hopes Alive

With this victory, Cloud9 solidifies their hold on the first-place position, pulling ahead of Team Liquid in the standings. They now have a one-game lead over Liquid with two games remaining in the split. Tomorrow, Cloud9 will face off against another strong competitor, 100 Thieves.

TSM still has a chance to make it to the playoffs, thanks to Dignitas’ loss. Although their chances may seem slim, TSM needs to win their upcoming match against 100 Thieves, along with two other must-win games this weekend.
