League of Legends enthusiasts create Yordle, a Wordle spin-off inspired by the game

League of Legends Players Get Their Own Wordle Variant: Meet Yordle

Wordle has taken the internet by storm, and now fans of League of Legends can enjoy their own version of the word-guessing game. Two dedicated players of the popular MOBA game have created Yordle, a word-guessing game that challenges players to correctly identify champion names in six tries or less.

Reddit user Verevyta shared their creation, Yordle, on the League subreddit. This game follows the same gameplay pattern as Wordle, where players have a limited number of tries to guess a word and receive feedback based on letter placement. However, in Yordle, players must guess the name of a League champion. Unlike Wordle, which only allows five-letter words, Yordle offers a variety of word options. Yesterday’s challenge featured a four-letter word, while today’s challenge features a five-letter name.

Verevyta and uKruel, the creators of Yordle, plan to add items and skill names to diversify the database of words in future challenges. However, League fans can already put their game knowledge to the test with today’s Yordle game. Try it out here.

Other Wordle Variants for Fans to Enjoy

Since Wordle’s rise to fame, several look-alike games have emerged. Fans can now enjoy their favorite fandoms and themes through word-guessing games. For example, there is SWordle, a Star Wars-themed variant, and even an unlimited version of Wordle. With these alternatives, players can find a version of the game that aligns with their interests beyond the base game.

That’s it for today’s League news. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments in the world of eSports.
