100 Thieves appoints new League of Legends general manager to replace PapaSmithy

JungleJuice has been promoted to the role of General Manager for the 2023 League of Legends season. He has been with 100 Thieves since 2017, serving in various positions such as coach and analyst.

This decision comes after 100 Thieves parted ways with Chris “PapaSmithy” Smith, the former general manager. The team’s disappointing performance at the recent League of Legends World Championship was a contributing factor.

According to 100 Thieves president John Robinson, the organization is aiming for a balanced approach in building their roster for the upcoming season. While no player announcements have been made yet, rumors suggest that top prospect Busio might be promoted to a starting position. Additionally, there is speculation about former LCS MVP Doublelift potentially joining the team.

Four of 100 Thieves’ starting players are under contract until the end of the 2023 season, except for top laner Ssumday, who will become an unrestricted free agent.
